As part of our very successful Annual Conference this year, we were pleased to have Graham Reid from the Department of Health along who initiated a debate around NHS procurement and the governments’ latest request to have industry offer ideas to make the system better.
I agreed to solicit comments from SEHTA members, and compile a response in time for the official government response deadline (27th July) –please see the attached letter.
Please find the full Department of Health Document below for more information:
Procurement call for evidence
Procurement Dept of Health 28 May
So I would like to offer you the opportunity to respond:
Please send me ideas as to how you think the government could make procurement easier, fairer and better for industry – please be as specific as you possibly can with solutions to problems rather than simply problems. Final deadline for response to SEHTA at david.parry@sehta.co.uk by Friday 20th July.
I do hope you can help us with the request from the Department of Health. I sense that we can really influence the agenda at this critical stage in the life of the NHS.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Many thanks and best wishes
David
