SEHTA is pleased to announce the winners of our 2016 Healthcare Business Awards. Winners from the five award categories were all presented with their Awards on Monday 3rd April. We were honoured to have David Clayton-Smith, Chair of Kent Surrey Sussex Academic Health Science Network & Chair of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust as our Guest Speaker.
Dr David Parry, CEO, SEHTA said; “Once again our awards have demonstrated the excellence of small health technology companies in the South East. This year was the most competitive in our history. It’s a primary aim of SEHTA to help such companies’ access public and private sector markets with their innovative products and services”.
The winner of this year’s Export Award went to NoxBox for their achievements in exporting their range of medical devices for Inhaled Nitric Oxide Therapy.
The winner of this year’s Innovation Award went to Lightpoint Medical for their achievements for their innovative medical device, which is dedicated to improving health outcomes for cancer patients through image-guided surgery.
The winner of the Partnership with the NHS Award went to Medcura for their partnership with University Hospitals Southampton (UHS) NHS Foundation Trust to improve healthcare outcomes for cancer patients by increasing the quality, safety and efficiency of IV Chemotherapy and in turn making service provision more efficient.
The next winner was for Start-Up and this was awarded to Oxford Heartbeat for their technology to make cardiovascular surgeries more accurate and safe. Their technology helps clinicians accurately plan and rehearse stent placements inside blood vessels.
The final award of the evening went to xim for Outstanding Achievement for their achievements in developing their innovative Lifelight Technology (Lifelight™) which provides early warning of critical health events through non-contact, camera based vital signs monitoring using cameras built into smart phones, tablets, computers and smart televisions.
The winners of our awards have all been entered into the national MedilinkUK Awards taking place on 26 April at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, which is part of the 2017 Med-Tech Innovation Expo.
