Bob Ireland has had over thirty years in the Healthcare Industry, covering senior management positions in a number of Pharmaceutical, therapeutics and medical device companies.

He is currently European Vice President of a Japanese Healthcare company, establishing the global marketing strategy for their Pharmaceutical Division and negotiating development and marketing alliances for a portfolio of primary care oriented pharmaceutical compounds.

He is also non-executive Chairman of Imprint Pharmaceuticals, a drug delivery device company.

Following seven years as Chairman of the Southern Medical alliance, he is now a director of South East Health Technologies Alliance (SEHTA), a local Government (SEEDA) sponsored collaboration of Universities, Teaching Hospitals and Industry devoted to developing the South of England as a centre of pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare technology excellence.

SEHTA administer a number of programmes established to develop local companies in the sector, improve the application of technology within clinical challenges and provide support and guidance to organisations working in Biotech and Healthcare.

For ten years Bob Ireland was on the Executive of the Association of British Healthcare Industries, the U.K. Trade Association for Medical Devices; during which time he was Chairman of their International Policy Group and Training Group and the ABHI Market Manager for the Americas.
