Overview

The UK is home to over 3100 health technology companies employing around 150,000 people, and has the world’s largest healthcare provider in the NHS. With a £6 billion share of a £120 billion global market, the health technology sector is one of the great hopes for the future economic prosperity of the UK and the SEEDA region is home to the majority of the sector's leading players.

The South East Health Technologies Alliance (SEHTA) is a new member organisation established to support businesses in the sector and help them to grow. SEHTA will provide regional leadership to the sector, facilitate and integrate the efficient delivery of services to and between member companies and other organisations in the sector and promote the profile and well-being of the industry in the South East.

Funded primarily by the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA), one of the primary aims of SEHTA is to increase the number and prosperity of mid-sized companies in the sector by providing access to business support, grants and finance advice, networking and collaboration opportunities. It also seeks to promote the interests of its members to policymakers, regulators, the media and the general public in order to improve the environment in which its members operate.

On this site you will find the full range of information on SEHTA's activities and those of its partner organisations, news and background on SEHTA and the industry at large and profiles of its member companies and other associated organisations operating in this dynamic sector.
