Biotechnology Financial Advisory Service
Delivered through Finance South East, this project provided free business planning and fund finding support to companies in the South East that are core members of SEHTA, are small to medium sized, and have a product or service designed for the healthcare market.  The project consisted of two stages: Light Touch, which provided consultancy to discuss the company’s business plan, and In Depth, which provided a 36 point assessment of the business plan, fund finding assistance, and presentation to a panel of investors and industry specialists.  The Finance South East team provided a fully integrated service of specialist sector advice.

Since its launch in 2006, this project has helped 52 companies in the region raise over £10 m in equity funding.

South East Biomanufacturing
This project, run in collaboration with bioProcessUK, was designed to help companies develop a biomanufacturing strategy, and find access to biomanufacturing services.  Upon completion of the project, SEHTA was able to help 14 companies, with a £1.2 m grant awarded.

GROWHealth
GROWHealth was an EU-supported project completed in collaboration with the Emilia Romagna region in Italy.  The aim of the project was to establish a collaborative and international network of health technology clusters to further the knowledge-based economy.  The major output of this project was an extensive cluster mapping report, completed on behalf of SEHTA by Dr. Emanuela Todeva, University of Surrey.  This report can be found here
