Why join?
There are three levels of membership: core, affiliate and associate. Core membership: open to individuals employed in or owning businesses in the health technology sector (diagnostics, biotechnology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals) located in the SEEDA region (Kent and Medway, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes). Membership is free. Benefits include:
- Priority access to networking events and meetings
- Priority access to partnering opportunities led or facilitated by SEHTA
- Access to SEHTA support projects including the Biotech Financial Advisory Service (BFAS) and PR service
- Profile of your organisation in SEHTA's membership directory, which will be available to all other members via the website
- Full access to SEHTA's membership directory
- Opportunity to join or contribute to science and policy task forces
- Opportunities to contribute to SEHTA's regular newsletter
- Free job advertisements on SEHTA's website
- Right to attend and vote at AGM and to make nominations for and vote in elections to the board
Affiliate membership: open to individuals employed in an organisation with a professional or other interest in the sector and the region, such as members of the National Health Service, academics, students, business support organisations, RDAs not-for-profit organisations and relevant charities. Affiliate membership is also open to health technology companies outside the SEEDA region and overseas. Affiliate membership is free and benefits include:
- Access to selected networking events and meetings
- Access to selected partnering opportunities led or facilitated by SEHTA
- Profile of your organisation in SEHTA's membership directory, which will be available to all other members via the website
- Full access to SEHTA's membership directory
- Opportunity to attend AGM
- Opportunity to join or contribute to science and policy taskforces
Associate membership: available to individuals employed in or owning businesses supporting the health technology sector including, but not limited to, lawyers, patent agents, accountants, architects, PR agencies and management, recruitment and marketing consultancies. Annual subscription for associate members is £300 per annum, discounted to £150 for the first year.
