BioTuesday featuring CAT ex-CEO and VC Meeting Brokerage with SV Life Sciences

Start:20 May 2008 - 18:00
End : 20 May 2008 - 21:30

"How to Dress for Pharma Acquisition", Dr. Hamish Cameron, Venture Partner

* May's BioTuesday is Kindly Sponsored by MEPC Milton Park *

May's networking BioTuesday features Dr Hamish Cameron, who was CEO of "CAT" following its acquisition by AstraZeneca. "How to Dress for Pharma Acquisition" addresses the one of the key issues facing cash hungry biotechs, looking for pharma trade sale as an exit.  The UK has seen a quickening pace of acquisition activity in the last few years, including the acquisition of Zeneus Pharma (Oxford) by Cephalon, and the acquisition of PowderMed (Oxford) by Pfizer, and there are even rumoured to be bids planned for larger biotech companies.  This BioTuesday seeks to discuss and dissect the steps that a biotech company should take if it is to position itself as an acquisition target for pharmaceutical. OBN will be operating its VC Meeting Brokerage around this meeting, helping companies arrange meetings with SVLS.

More information about how to get to the venue, and how to register is available online: http://www.tinyurl.com/2hp5yd

In a radical departure from our previous BioTuesday venues, we are locating our meetings at a much larger capacity venue at Number 97 Milton Park, a striking and contemporary statement building of around 38,000 sq ft over 3 floors which has recently been completed by MEPC.  This venue will allow delegates to the BioTuesdays to interact in a much more spacious environment, while benefiting from car parking right at the front of the building. As usual, the session will be followed with a networking reception with canapes and wine.  We hope to shortly announce a further life sciences VC speaker for the May BioTuesday.
