UKTI has invited a Japanese journalist, Ms Rie Uematsu of Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, Business & Technology Daily News (Japan's leading trade paper with 420,000 circulation daily), to visit the UK
Ms Rie Uematsu is keen to meet the following UK companies:a) those who are already selling to Japan
b) those who are interested in selling to Japan
c) those who have newsworthy strong selling points The main sectors in healthcare of interest are:a) Diagnostics (eg: POCT, test kit as OTC, diagnostic agent, equipment)
b) Infection control related products
c) Oncology and cardiovascular diseases related diagnostics and therapeutic apparatus
d) Orthopaedics (incl. implant)
e) E-Health (incl. equipment and technology)
Ms Uematsu would be happy to consider other related sectors if they proved to be innovative and attractive to Japanese traders.
