SEHTA Conference and AGM: Accessing Health

Start:2 Jul 2008 - 10:00
End : 2 Jul 2008 - 14:00

SEHTA has now been established for over 2 years and we would like to invite you to join us in a review of our progress at the Holiday Inn in Guildford.

We are also having our AGM on the same day, so if you are a member, please do come along to a short meeting before the conference.I believe that SEHTA continues to grow in its reputation regionally, nationally and internationally.

We currently have almost 700 members and have completed several important projects including our BFAS business planning and fund-finding project, our Biomanufacturing project and our EU-funded GrowHealth project.

We are moving on and have established an office in Dubai in support of companies wanting to trade and attract funding from the UAE, we are coordinating a cluster mapping project for the health technology organisations in the Greater South East (SEEDA, EEDA , LDA and O2C arc), and we have piloted a student recruitment project for companies at the universities of Southampton and Sussex.

Our Telecare Knowledge Network (www.tkn.port.ac.uk) goes from strength to strength enabling companies and universities involved in assistive technology find contacts, grants and new innovative ideas.

We have written a new business plan which focuses our efforts firmly on helping companies and the knowledge base in the region access global market opportunities. This is the theme of our conference – Accessing Health, and we have assembled an excellent group of speakers to help us understand how we can access global markets, the NHS and how the Darzi review will impact on our industry.

We will also be launching our new ‘Guide to the Sector’ – a really helpful easy to read booklet which outlines what the health technology sector is and its significance to all of us.Please do join us for what promises to be a really positive informative and enjoyable meeting

Remember, SEHTA is your company and we look forward to your participation.
