Pharmaceutical Anti-Counterfeiting Strategies Forum 2008
End : 2 Jul 2008 - 17:00
The WHO estimates that 10% of global pharmaceutical commerce involves counterfeits. International crime syndicates are becoming more sophisticated and better organised in counterfeiting. Is this problem at risk of spiralling out of control? Many analysts believe so with counterfeiting expected to reach 20 per cent by the 2010. So why is the industry waiting for a catastrophic failure before confronting inherent weaknesses in the system? Many aren't and the first step they are taking is to meet and discuss how the industry can fight back. And where they are meeting is in London from the 30th June to 2nd July 2008.
The international conference will cover themes of:
- Routes to enabling cross-border co-operation with international security organisations
- Implementation of the latest tamper-proof and automatic drug recall technology
- Enhancing supply chain security through new configurations in existing technology
- Ancillary benefits of improved systems for inventory and distribution
