Influence on wound dressing design - A developer's perspective

Dr Bill Pigg is Director of R&D at Johnson and Johnson Wound Management based in Gargrave in the UK. His focus, and that of his group, is developing solutions to the problem of non-healing wounds. The group have an excellent track record in innovative product development, and in evidence and intellectual property generation.

Bill joined Johnson and Johnson in 2005 after 12 years with Smith & Nephew where he held several Research and Development management positions at both their Group Research Centre in York and at their Wound Management Business Unit in Hull. In addition to his Bachelor of Science Degree and Doctorate Bill also holds a Diploma in The Management of Medical Device Innovation from The Scandinavian International Management Institute (SIMI).
