Developments and Trends in Thermal Management Technologies: a mission to the USA
End : 20 Feb 2007 - 16:03
The importance of thermal management is immediately apparent from the heat produced by most electronic and photonic devices. Improved thermal management is essential to meet market driven performance and lifetime and cost requirements for designs requiring increasing functionality with higher volumetric power densities. In many cases, such as all electric aircraft, automotive and many sensing systems, thermal management strategies also have to perform in harsh environments.
The USA continues to have a leading edge position in thermal management technologies and the main aim of this mission was to visit a selection of significant companies and educational institutes in order to ensure that the UK maintains awareness of developments in this area and help its access to the best available technology.
Delegates will also receive a free copy of the Mission Report containing visit reports, conclusions, and recommendations of Mission members.
