Nanomedicine: nanotechnology addressing the convergence of Diagnostics, Healthcare and Pharma - a mission to Japan

This DTI Global Watch Mission reviewed Nanomedicine technologies for application in Diagnostics and Pharma and Healthcare applications with specific focus on Diagnostics, Drug discovery & delivery and Medical devices in Japan. The key objective was to assess research and technology that would help underpin the UK’s ability to commercialize and manufacture nanomedicine applications. A further objective was to evaluate potential instrumentation synergies, complementary with UK strengths in Pharma & Biotech sectors. The mission also focused on the Japanese approach to convergence of nanotechnologies and healthcare.
