Trade Force 2007" Trade Mission to Washington & Virginia USA 24th June - 1st July 07

Please find below some background information on this event:

  • "Trade Force" has been organised by both Kent & Essex County councils and marks the 400th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown, the first English speaking settlement in the new world. The English founders in 1607 included travellers from Essex & Kent.

  • The mission is all sector and is primarily aimed at Kent & Essex SME's who would like to develop business opportunities in the USA

  • The itinerary focuses on Washington DC, Fairfax County and Richmond Virginia, including a briefing at the Post in Washington on the 25th June

  • Emily Haswell of Kent County Council is the lead manager of this mission.
    UKTI South East has a supportive role with this mission, with myself acting as UKTI's co-ordinator.

  • MVS grant - UKTI SE is providing a £500 to eligible SME's located in the SE region (Max no of grants = 8)
