The UK-Brazil trading relationship is growing ever stronger. Bilateral trade is now approaching £3 billion per year. The UK-Brazil Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) was launched during the State Visit of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to the United Kingdom in 2006. This is a landmark initiative to promote relations between Brazil and the UK.

As part of JETCO, the Brazilian Government, with the support of UK Trade and Investment, is organizing a seminar on Brazil: New Business Opportunities to be held at the DTI Conference Centre on  Monday 25th June from 9 am to 1 pm. After the opening session, there will be four workshops: Bio-fuels, Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Healthcare and Information and Communications Technology. The workshops will be followed by a luncheon at 1 pm.

The Embassy of Brazil in London  would be  honoured to invite you to attend the seminar and the workshop on Healthcare – equipments and devices. The main purpose of the workshops is to discuss possible joint ventures, direct investment in Brazil and other forms of bilateral cooperation and trade between the two countries.

The President of APEX (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and the UKTI Chief Executive will address the seminar. In addition, a select group of leading Brazilian businessmen and organizations will be participating in the workshops.

Participants wishing to have one to one business meetings with the Brazilian representatives can do so from 2:15 to 5:30 pm on 25th June at the Embassy of Brazil (32 Green Street, W1K 7AT).
