Are you a med-tech, diagnostic or digital health company either based in London or want to develop your London business and you need help with:

SEHTA & Barts Health NHS Trust: GI Tract Clinical Needs Surgery

Date: Monday 26th June

Venue: National Bowel Research Centre, London

Do you have a GI Tract product/service which needs: 

  • more research/co-development with clinicians
  • clinical evaluation
  • adoption by the NHS?

Would the product/service help to meet any of the following needs?

  • Smart materials for GI Tract reconstruction
  • Non-invasive tests to monitor gut function
  • Accurate and cheap biosensing of urine and faeces in underclothes
  • Monitoring and managing odours in care facilities
  • Digital collection of patient outcome data and integration with clinical records
  • Any other product or service applicable to improving detection, management, monitoring or surgery in GI Tract diseases

SEHTA is delighted to announce its partnership with the Barts Health NHS Trust to run a series of “Meeting GI Tract Clinical Needs” surgeries on 26th June.

SEHTA will be working with Prof Charles H Knowles, PhD FRCS, Clinical Professor of Surgical Research, Blizard Institute, Barts & the London School of Medicine & Dentistry (QMUL), Professor of Surgery & Hon Cons. Colorectal Surgeon, Barts Health NHS Trust, Director NHIR Enteric Health Technology Cooperative & Director National Bowel Research Centre to provide SMEs with innovative GI Tract products or services, the opportunity to refine their ideas to get more traction with the NHS and develop collaborative partnerships.

Surgery appointments will be 1 hour in duration with Prof Charles Knowles and Dr David Parry and will cover;

  • Opportunity to discuss and refine your product/service idea
  • Best ways forward for collaboration with Enteric project, Barts Health NHS Trust and the NHS

The surgery will take place on 26th June and will be held at the National Bowel Research Centre, 1st Floor, Abernethy Building, 2 Newark Street, London E1 2AT from 10am – 4pm

Accessing the NHS & Care Sector Surgery

Date: Tuesday 27th June

As part of the Whitechapel Life Sciences event taking place on Thursday 15th June, we want to provide opportunities for SMEs to develop their understanding of the NHS & Care sector.

To this end, we will be running a FREE Accessing the NHS & Care Sector Surgery programme to help SMEs understand the process of engagement with the NHS & Care sector. We will be offering a series of 1hr 1:1 meetings that will cover developing value propositions, commercialisation of technology and understanding NHS and Care sector markets.

The session will run from 10:00 – 16:00 (your 1hr time slot will be allocated once your application has been approved).
