The project aimed to build partnerships for cross-border economic development and centers of excellence, and to identify and support common and complementary centers of business and research excellence.

The project stimulated the exchange of information and the transfer of good practices, and support the development of a transnational cluster network. By undertaking a matched capability mapping exercise between the two regions on assisted living, a sound basis for this exchange activity was built up. Opportunities for technology exchange or new business development can be identified, qualified and then offered to the organisations best qualified to exploit them within the partners’ clusters.
